Born from Evotech Technical Services, a UK team of building engineers and HVAC specialists, myBEMS is the culmination of decades of expertise in HVAC engineering and building performance optimisation.
With the rise of automation and data analytics, there's no shortage of building optimisation solutions, often backed by flashy promises. As engineers, we know how important it is to cut through the noise.
Our team of HVAC specialists developed myBEMS, a cloud-based Building Energy Management System, to help our clients improve how their buildings perform. This open, agnostic platform uses proven smart building technology to monitor and optimise your HVAC systems.
Now, we empower our clients with a deeper understanding of their building performance through specialised testing, monitoring and analysis of indoor environmental conditions and energy efficiency.

Mark O'Grady
Managing Director
Mark brings over 40 years of industry experience, having begun his career as a mechanical engineer in the Royal Navy. After a decade in senior roles with leading FM providers, he now leads myBEMS, overseeing governance, risk management and corporate responsibility. Mark actively supports daily operations, driving value and customer satisfaction.
John Lumb
Building Performance Director
John brings a wealth of experience from the FM sector, having co-led a successful technical services company for one of the industry’s top five providers. Now, as Building Performance Director at myBEMS, he drives innovation to boost building performance for clients. His passion for energy efficiency extends beyond work, having designed and built his own low-carbon home.
Matt Carver
Operations Director
Matt has been part of our team since 2014, where he directs operations and drives service delivery throughout the UK. With a background in senior management and expertise in BMS and HVAC controls, he shapes operational strategies that align with business goals. He prioritises long-term client relationships, ensuring customers receive exceptional service and professionalism from the myBEMS team.
Richard Watts
Senior Consulting Engineer
As Senior Consulting Engineer at myBEMS, Richard leads the Professional Services team, offering essential technical expertise. A Chartered Engineer since 2017, he’s recognised for his research on the building performance gap. Since 2012, Richard has helped our clients decarbonise their buildings, driving efficiency through innovative solutions that support low-carbon, sustainable development.
Michael Howarth
Senior Technical Engineer
With over a decade of HVAC optimisation experience, Michael oversees our myBEMS Remote HVAC Optimisation service, helping clients identify and close energy performance gaps. Since joining our team in 2012, he has focused on implementing innovative, low-carbon solutions that enhance building efficiency, driving sustainability and energy savings for myBEMS clients.
Wayne Fairley
Project Manager
Wayne oversees the deployment of IoT and smart building technology at myBEMS, ensuring seamless project delivery. With over ten years of experience in building services, he also leads the data analytics team, turning insights into actionable strategies. His expertise helps clients achieve energy savings, optimise HVAC performance and reduce carbon emissions through targeted, technology-driven solutions.
Liza Mansell
Building Performance Manager
Liza leads the commercial growth of myBEMS Remote HVAC Optimisation service, driving sales strategy, client engagement, and market expansion. She works closely with customers to demonstrate clear energy, cost, and performance benefits, positioning myBEMS as a proven, data-driven solution for smarter, more efficient building operation.
Paul Grimes
Building Performance Engineer
Paul oversees the myBEMS installation team and coordinates the roll-out of myBEMS services, ensuring the smooth onboarding of new client sites and provision of ongoing technical support. He is a time-served HVAC specialist with more than 21 years in the industry.
